A DANCE SCHOOL THAT REALLY CARES ...
Brookes Dance Academy is a rapidly growing, friendly, fun and professional school based in Tenterden, founded in 2017.
We offer dance lessons for children in ISTD Ballet, Tap, Modern and also Acro, Street, Contemporary, Pre-Pointe, Pointe work and Body Conditioning.
We provide the opportunity to perform in festivals, bi annual shows and to take part in examinations.
We are very proud to be selected to appear in the annual Tenterden pantomime performing at the local theatre.
OUR PURPOSE
At Brookes Dance Academy, Tenterden, we are passionate about providing the very best, high quality dance teaching while nurturing children to have more confidence, resilience and self-esteem. The discipline in our dance training provides and promotes an appreciation for teamwork while developing self-awareness and desire for excellence.
The physical benefits of course are not restricted to gaining strength and flexibility but better posture and a greater understanding of long term fitness that will carry them through for the rest of their lives.
Students are encouraged and nurtured to reach their fullest potential.
Lessons focus on technique, musicality and creativity and help develop confidence.

WE ARE AN ISTD ACADEMY
The academy is proud to follow the ISTD syllabi in Ballet, Tap and Modern classes and is certified in the Acrobatic Arts Program, Progressing Ballet Technique and Alixa Flexibility.
Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance exams are recognised by OFQUAL.
Children's classes at Brookes Dance Academy are devised to harness and build their imagination and creativity. The Pre-School classes use songs, role play, improvisation, games and storytelling along with basic skills and dance technique. For older children, primary & teenager classes they learn dance techniques in greater depth while still having the opportunities to express themselves and build the confidence to perform. They can do all this through a variety of dance styles and disciplines.
Being a mother myself I fully understand the financial strains on families so we offer affordable payment policies to help spread the cost of classes. We have three 12 week terms in the year which generally fall in line with the local schools.
We are very fortunate to use dance studios that are large, bright, clean and airy which all have free parking, changing rooms and wonderful facilities. They are all based in Tenterden and close to local amenities.
